SONYA HO
Piano Teacher
Sonya Ho was born and raised in Hong Kong and came to the United States in 1987. She graduated from Radford University in 1990 where she majored in piano performance. She continued her studies at Southern Illinois University as a student of the well-known Russian pianist, Ruth Slenczynska. In 1991, after marrying husband Caisy, she returned to Blacksburg and completed her Master of Arts degree with an emphasis on piano performance in 1992. She taught at the Community Arts School in Radford University from 1987-1989, and prior to coming to the US taught at the Yip's Children's Music Center in Hong Kong from 1984-1985. Sonya's musical interests beyond teaching and solo performing extend to accompanying other instrumentalists and playing the organ. Sonya joined the faculty of the Renaissance Music Academy in February, 1994.
